How to Apply for
Teacher Grants
1. You have your idea
Classroom project, technology. If it serves your students, it counts.
2. You apply
Submit your grant application during fall or spring application
windows. Tell us what you want to do and why it matters.
3. We review
Our Foundation team and board review applications based on how they'll impact student learning and growth.
4. You Get Funded (or We Keep in Touch)
If approved, you receive your grant. If not this cycle, we
encourage you to apply again next semester.

National Board Certification
We believe in your growth as an educator. The Foundation provides financial support for Homewood teachers pursuing National Board Certification —
because investing in you means investing in your students.
What we cover:
Financial assistance for certification fees and preparation coursework.
Why It Matters:
Homewood is one of only four districts in Alabama recognized as a National Board Accomplished District. We currently have 60 certified teachers and
22 more in process.
