Teachers are Grateful for 2014 Grants
Thanks to the generous response to our Grateful Dads event, the Foundation surprised teachers at each of our schools with a special grant funded by this event.
Our three elementary schools (Edgewood Elementary, Hall-Kent Elementary and Shades Cahaba Elementary) received a one-year subscription to BookFlix, an online resource to help students engage in nonfiction reading. At Homewood Middle School, Coach Sills’ keyboarding class will enjoy new headphones and keyboard covers to help students learn this necessary skill. The Social Studies teachers at Homewood High School were awarded a one-year subscription to NBC Learn, a news source that all high school students can access.
